ActiveDocs 2002

Automating Document Creation for Increased Productivity

We are looking forward to seeing you all at this upcoming meeting of The Southern California Microsoft Word Legal User’s Group.  It’s been several months since our early Spring meeting which can means leaps and bounds of changes in the technology field; we surely have a lot of new information and ideas to share.

At this meeting, we have planned a two-part agenda.  First, we will hold a networking session wherein we’ll open the floor to questions, issues, and new information that you may wish to share with your cohorts. Don’t miss this opportunity to be included on the latest happenings in the Southern California legal I.T. field!

During the second half of the meeting, we’ll be highlighting ActiveDocs, a new software application for use in Word.  ActiveDocs can be used to create automated Word templates without programming.  With ActiveDocs, one can add variable fields, business logic, data from external sources, and “clippings” of text that can be saved for repeated use. ActiveDocs should be a consideration when evaluating a firm’s document assembly requirements.

To accommodate firms located in different parts of the city, we will be repeating the meeting, holding it first in the Westside, followed by Downtown. A lunch will be catered compliments of ActiveDocs and the law firms sponsoring the meetings.  We would like to thank the firms of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld, LLP and Munger, Tolles & Olson for accommodating us with this session.
